From: Phil Hall Subject: Modification For Cherokee AH-100 From 25.165 MHz to 29.655 MHz in 10 bands. The Cherokee AH-100 is a Handheld for AM, SSB and CB. It will cover 10 meters as well. The modification is: Remove the back cover from the radio. Locate the PC board that the PTT is mounted to. Locate the 3 solder lands that just end. Solder a bridge between all 3 solder pads. Reassemble the radio. Now when you turn it on, press the channel 9 button and hold for 2 seconds the display will remain blank until released. You will now have from 25.165 MHz to 29.655 MHz in 10 bands. Band E is the CB Channels and the E is not displayed. If the unit has been powered before the modification, you must reset the processor.
